Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Bread

I came across this delicious recipe from Kelly at Eat Yourself Skinny. You can probably tell that I absolutely love banana bread. I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing them with others! Plus this one has protein!! 🙂

Here’s what you need for the bread:

1 ½ scoops of chocolate protein powder- I used Designer Whey Chocolate

½ cup whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon cinnamon

2 ripe bananas

2 egg whites

2 tbsp vanilla greek yogurt- I used Chobani

1/3 cup oats

Here’s what you need for the toppings:

1/3 cup oats

2 tbsp brown sugar

1-5 tbsp honey

Sprinkling of cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a bread pan with nonstick oil.

Mix together the dry bread ingredients

Add bananas, egg whites, and greek yogurt

Pour mixture into the bread pan

Mix together the “toppings” ingredients and sprinkle on top of the banana bread mixture

Bake for approximately 30 minutes. The top may still be moist which is okay!
