My four day weekend is coming to an end today. I better live it up right? Haha, right…
So I awoke yesterday morning, craving yet another smoothie/shake combination. Okay, I’ll admit it. I love protein smoothies/shakes/bowls/pudding. Shall I go on? The different possibilities of ingredients are endless. The hardest part is determining what kind you want.
Here’s today’s craving.
Chocolate Strawberry Protein Shake
In a blender, mix together: ½ scoop chocolate protein powder, one tsp cocoa powder, ½ tsp xanthan gum, one packet Stevia, one cup ice, 1.5 cup water, one cup frozen strawberries, and blend. Remember the xanthan gum will make it a bit thicker. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Nutrition: 130 calories, 15.5g protein, and 7.5g carbs.
After I slurped this lovely shake, I decided that today would be a great day to go run around Greenlake! Greenlake is a well-known area for running, outdoor sports, swimming, paddleboarding (I need to do this), tanning, or just hanging out! The loop is a tad bit over 3 miles. I ran the loop 3 times for 9 miles!
It was sooo crowded, I was constantly dodging/passing/elbowing (just kidding). I would never! Or would I?! I could have kept going, but I figured 9 miles was good enough. It was getting pretty warm 80 degrees or so.
I’ll have you from the nasty picture of myself from after. Basically, my face was covered in salt. Very attractive, I know.
On my way home, I passed this place.
Okay, you’ve watched the Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food. Beth’s cafe was on the show a few years ago. Basically, Adam from Man vs. Food had to tackle the 12 egg omelet with hash browns and toast.
