What the Bake Friday- 8/9/13


You know what that means…Protein Muffins and Protein Ballz! 

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Ballz

Perfect energy bites for pre/post workouts snackie!


Yields: 10  protein ballz


1/3 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup raw honey

1 scoop Vanilla Designer Whey protein powder

3 tbsp ground flaxseed

3 tbsp white chocolate chips*



Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Don’t be afraid to get your hands into it.

Roll mixture into 10 ballz.

Refrigerate ballz for a few hours!

*You can always use regular chocolate chips, cacao chips, walnuts, the possibilities are endless!


I’ve been seeing a lot of protein muffins on Instagram lately and I finally gave them a try!

Chocolate Protein Muffins


Yields: 6 protein muffins


1 scoop Designer Whey protein powder

3 egg whites

1/4 cup Chobani plain Greek yogurt

1/c cup unsweetened Almond milk

1/4 cup coconut flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp cocoa powder


Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Spray non stick onto a muffin tray.

Mix wet ingredients together then add dry ingredients.

Pour batter into individual muffin tins.


Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Let cool.


The last step is to spread some peanut butter on them. A perfect guilt-free late night snack! 🙂

  1. Those protein balls look really good! Today I’m going to make some ‘sticky bites’ from The Feed Zone Portables cookbook. They’re little rice balls designed to be taken on long runs/bike rides. I plan to try them out on my long run tomorrow, so we’ll see how it goes!
