It is still morning even though I am still in bed and it is 10am right? Oh well, it is the weekend and my body needed the extra sleep!
Last night was quite the thunder and lightening show apparently.
I only woke up a few times to the rumbling. This afternoon looks like it is going to be the same. That means I need to get my ass outta’ bed and go bike, run and swim. Yes, I may do all three today, but only shorties!
There was also a request for some zucchini bread….We’ll see if I can fit it in.
A quick recap on yesterday evening…I got in a hot n’ sweaty 8 mile run in. Did I mention that my legs are still sore from Tuesday’s leg workout. Apparently, during triathlon or running season doing intense leg exercises should be banned. Let me modify this, not banned but not as intense! I have been stretching, but still my legs were a bit sore during the run, plus it was like 85 degrees out.
I shall call this the Peanut Butter Banana Bread Shake.
1 scoop Vanilla Designer Whey
1 cup almond milk
½ cup ice
2 tbsp Chobani plain Greek yogurt
1/3 frozen banana
¼ tbsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp xantham gum
1 Tbsp PB2 chocolate
1 tsp cocoa powder
Dash of baking powder (this apparently gives it the bread like consistency)
Mix together in your blender, pour and enjoy!
I’ve enjoyed adding in Chobani Greek yogurt into my shakes lately. It gives it a different consistency which is nice!
Anyone else obsessed with Cookie Dough Quest Bars? Oh lordy, they are my favorite.
Okay, that is all I got for this morning. I need to get outta’ bed and be productive before the weather turns crappy. Crossing my fingers n’ toes that it doesn’t.
