Take a step back.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. Lately, I have found myself to be just exhausted. No motivation, no energy, no spunk. My body needs a break.

I am twenty-five, why would I need break? Why should I slow down? I am in my prime right? I am not an energizer bunny. My batteries need a quick recharge. STAT.

I haven’t worked out in two days; because of my car’s hiccup and the fact that I was so exhausted Tuesday night I just sat around and watched a movie.

Listen up <——-this girl does not just “sit around” very often. I have the attention span of a goldfish at times.

I know I am not the only one that has felt overworked, overwhelmed or just damn tired. Remember, anytime is a good time to create some space between you, your busyness, your crowded thoughts, your to-do list and the world.

I came across an article by Lauren Imparato that gave me some good insight.

Signs that you need a break.

1. You dread the alarm clock. (I hate my alarm clock)

2. Your fuse is short.

3. You avoid what you know you like.

4. Your diet starts to waver. (sigh!)

5. You simply do not care.

Ways to Give Yourself a Break (my personal ideas)

1. Go for a walk/hike/workout.
2. Laugh.

3. Take time.

4. Do things that make you happy. RUN
0065. Don’t be afraid to do nothing.

6. Bake!

Everyone needs time to themselves. I need “me” time.

Have you ever felt this way?

How do you cope or handle it? Any tips?

XO, Tara

  1. Duuudddee I was BURNT the effff out this week with a combo of running/insanity/and LONG days at work. SO I took two days off from doing insanity. My quads thanked me so much, and so did my mind!! It was so needed! I didn’t even feel guilty! WHOO!
