Day One.

I am alive! I officially survived my first day at my new job. What a great day it was!

Thank you for all the wonderful positive support during this transition! 😀

Here’s a rundown of Day One:

Showed up fashionably early for Day One. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be there at 8am, I then realized I didn’t need to be there until 8:30am. Whoops! I tend to be way early, because you never know if the worse will happen. Luckily, I was greeted by a coworker who showed me around and we chatted for a bit before my Office Administrator arrived.

I met with my Office Administrator for a while, went to my first Monday meeting and  learned how to use the official coffee maker. I was never a big coffee drinker, but I think this may change. This coffee was delicious.

Once I was caffeinated, training began! Training take a few weeks and I am prepared for that. Learning new systems is tough, but I’ll have no problem asking for help. Everyone is super friendly.

Eight hours of training is mentally draining. I was tired! However, I still managed to go to the gym and whip out a good workout. I had to catch up on Dexter of course! 😉

Yes, that sums it up quite nicely.

BTW, I am only half way through season 6, so don’t spoil it for me! 🙂

Have you been watching the Olympics? I feel like this will continue consume my life each evening for the next two weeks. I am okay with that. I honestly do not understand how these people can ski these moguls day after day or year after year. My knees would be screaming at me!

Anywho, Day Two is calling! Have a great Tuesday.

What plans do you have today?

Do you grab coffee on the way to work? Or drink the coffee at your work?

XO, Tara

  1. I work at home 🙂 so that’s an unfair question. But when I was in grad school, the coffee was SO bad I refused to drink it and always brought my own. A few times I was running late so I even brought my press pot to class! My husband was a TA and for a while, he was responsible for making the coffee, which he doesn’t even drink. Everyone said it was the best coffee they’d had at school. Go figure.
