I believe that Spring has made its debut here in the PNW. The weekend’s weather was all over the place. It was mild and sunny on Friday, a super soaker on Saturday and 60 degrees and cloudy on Sunday. I’ll take 60 degrees any day.
Other than the weather being hit and miss all weekend, it was a pretty laid back weekend. I didn’t have to work which was Spectacular! With a capital S. Hello sleeping in—>what a glorious thing that is.
On Friday, my step dad and I hit up a local brewery called Black Raven. If you live in Seattle or any nearby areas, you must go here. The beer is superb, the service is great and the taproom’s atmosphere is super laid back. Busy, but laid back.
Of course we had to bring some of the goods home to pound. The rest of the night was a blurrrr…The Raven got to me.
If you want to find out more about Black Raven and whats going on then you should follow them on Twitter @blackravenbrew or look them up online here.
Saturday was the super soaker day and not to much happened. I worked out and go my hair straightened. Have you heard of the Brazilian Blowout? If not, it is the best thing ever. Turns any frizzy or untamed hair into silky smooth hair. Plus, it lasts 10 weeks. No more flat ironing= no more damaging my hair!! Yes please!
Saturday nights dinner was an egg white and turkey wrap with some other munchies on the side. Bomb dot com.
I completely forgot about Day Lights Saving until Saturday. Typically, I hate it since we lose sleep, but I’ll take an extra hour of daylight. More daylight equals more time to get a run in outside when the weather cooperates.
Speaking of running, I got in a long-ish run on Sunday! I definitely took advantage of the 60 degree weather and cloudy skies. The weather app said there would be a potential chance of rain, but I figured heck might as well risk it. I lucked out big time. I even wore a tank top and was sweating!!! I don’t remember the last time I was able to run in a tank top this early in the year.
It wasn’t my best run, but I got it done. I haven’t been running too often, so I understand why my pace was crap-o-la. I need to work on this immediately. However, I was happy to know that my legs could still run this far. Whoop!
I finished the evening watching some HGTV- duh and chatting up in the blog world. Oh ya, I forgot…I got to snuggle with this little one all weekend.
That face……gets me every single time. Oh Kasa.
Remember to take advantage of the discount for the Seahawks 12k on April 13, 2014. The discount is good through March only!!
That’s all I have for you today. It is time to get to work and get it done.
XO, Tara
