Good morning friends!
A lovely fall storm came through the Pacific Northwest yesterday leaving 100,000 people without power. Yes, yours truly was affected.
I started my Saturday morning with a power hour ride at Flywheel. Once I was finished I read the text that said no power. First thought, really? Is it windy? Did this much happen in one hour? Well, apparently one hour is all that was needed for a power outage. Basically a tree fell on some power lines on our street. Then another fell on the house next door.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
P.s. I am thankful for my generator for keeping us a little bit warmer! I know it’s not the best thing to be thankful for, but I’m happy to have it!
What are you thankful for today?
What do you do when the power goes out?
XO, Tara
sheesh!!! that sounds like you had some crazy storms! glad you are okay 🙂 power goes out = candlesssss everywhere and book reading!
Yes lots of book reading. Luckily we has a generator…we were able to plug some stuff in!
AHH that’s your neighbors house!? BUMMER it happened to them, but thankful it didn’t happen to you!
I know! We will be having some trees cut down soon. Apparently there’s rot in the trees. 😦
Glad everyone is ok! We’ve been talking about getting a generator since after Hurricane Sandy. We never lost power but a lot if people around us did and all generators within 100 miles were sold out.
They are a great investment because you just never know! We were out of power a few years ago for over a week in winter and it was a life savor for staying warm!
