Blue Friday Rambles

HAPPY BLUE FRIDAY!

Fridays are the best, especially when it is Blue Friday. If you are a Seattlelite then you will understand; actually, I’ll take that back….most of the nation knows that the Seahawks fans wear their jerseys, swag and colors on the Friday before a game. No Matter What.

Yes, I am that person as well. Even if it isn’t football season, you’ll find most people are wearing their Seahawks’ swag throughout the year. Call us crazy, but we love our team.

I had the opportunity to go to the Arizona game a few weeks back and boy it was nutz. Nutz actually isn’t the best word to use. It was out of control….or was that me? I’ll keep that hush hush for now.

View from our seats.

This weekend, the Seahawks play the 49ners again, our biggest rival. Hoping for a repeat game from a few weeks ago on Thanksgiving. I want to go to this game so badly, but it is very costly.

On another note, I was surfing the web yesterday and came across a very interesting article about drivers in America.

USA Today had an article about which states have the worst drivers.

v7bxzYA

Here are the results with some explanations. I was pretty shocked with the results. Any thoughts?

Is anyone else mad about how Sons of Anarchy ended? I am pretty upset about it. That show was my #1. Now, I need to find another new show to watch.

Have a marvelous Friday and don’t forget to cheer on the Seahawks with me!

Hump day snapshots

Happy hump day! Don’t get dirty with me here…perhaps I’ll stick with happy Wednesday?! Meh, that’s boring! 😉
Sorry for my absence. Work and life has taken me away from the blogging world and that just is not ok! It’s not.
I want to spend hours reading checking up on people’s blogs to creep on what they are up too. I know you do the same, you cannot hide it. Creep away!!
Since I know you want to know what I’ve been up to, here it is….brace yourself it’s not exciting.

IMG_4693.JPG
Had to bake some zucchini banana bread. Delicious!

IMG_4696.JPG
What a shocker…I’m watching football while enjoying a questbar! Mandatory!

IMG_4697.PNG
Prior to watching the game and endulging on a questbar, I went on a longish bike ride. It was a beautiful day for a ride.

IMG_4698.JPG
Ok, your probably asking, “what is this?” So my mom decided that I should help her with an art project for school. Art is written on my forehead. The art project has to do with National Dot Day. No I don’t know what it means, so I decided to draw the Seahawk eye logo. Definitely a fan. Duh!

IMG_4702.JPG
Lately I’ve been fueling up with protein pancakes. Deyumm.

IMG_4707.JPG
Omg, guess what arrived?! NOXPLODE! By golly, I’ve heard magical things about this product and boy it is amazing. I was PUMPED up! My review will follow soon.

IMG_4709.JPG
Despite my left knee bothering me lately, I thought I’d try taking some NOXPLODE and head out for a run. Boy, I was on another planet. I didn’t want to push too hard, but I had no choice!! Ahh! Luckily it was a shorter run and by the end my knee definitely said hey stop that.
I listened and walked….boo!
I followed up my run with some lifting. Chest, biceps and triceps were on the agenda. Most chest though with a side of biceps and triceps.
Overall, I was fatigued!
Today’s workout not envolve running or chest, triceps or biceps. Perhaps back or legs and some cardio. We will see!
Do you take any preworkout supplements/powders?
What workouts are you doing this week?
What are your favorite recipes now?
Have a great day!

All Weekends Should Be Three Days!

Weekend are the best. Especially when a long weekend is in the mix!
It’s Monday and I feel like I should be at work, but I am not! Hurray!!
It’s been a mild weekend so far. Worked out, played with the pup, watched hours of The Killing and Games of Thrones. Sorry but I’m not sorry for spending my time on the couch. Heck, everyone deserves it.
Cooper and I have been having a ball. Literally.

IMG_4673.JPG
When it’s rains, play ball indoors.

IMG_4670.JPG
So camera shy.

IMG_4648.JPG
Cooper and I ran around yellow lake on Saturday and I had a run at it solo on Sunday. My left knee is still bugging me, but the trail wasn’t so bad. I didn’t push it too hard.

On another note…You’d think that Costco would be dead or not as busy on Labor Day Weekend. Negative my friends. It was a zoo, like normal. Complete chaos in my book. I had crowds.
Costco managed to take my money for TWO items only:

I love the snap peas and the baby Seahawks book was a must. It will be a gift for the family that I am dog sitting for. You can never be too young to love the Seahawks!! 🙂 Start em young!
The Seahawks first official game is this week against Green Bay. Woot!
I’ll be prepping all week!
Oh ya, take advantage of the Labor Day sales! They are amaze balls!

Hello, Three Day Weekend!

Boy oh boy, I am excited for the long weekend! How about you? Any fun plans? For most, this means that school is beginning and summer is ending. Say it ain’t so!

On a positive note, that Labor Day Weekend kicks off the official start of Football season.

Labor-Day-Meme-4

Guess what I am doing all weekend and into next week? I’ll give you a hint, it has to do with a furry animal. Yep, that is right…I’m dog sitting once again for a family friends pup named Cooper. I am becoming a dog sitter professional. Hit me up!

I typically just dog sit for my own family, so it will be a nice change to play with another pup. Kasa and Reese will be uber jelly. Sadly, the weather in the suburbs of Seattle isn’t looking so good. Rain and in the 60s. Blah!

However, there is a perk dog sitting for a couple who has an “in” at a local brewery. FREE BEER! I’ve been formally instructed to take advantage of the keg. Cheers to that.

Let’s switch gears to another topic: the gym. My mom made the leap and joined the local gym and I am so proud of her. Joining a gym can be scary if you haven’t been for a while. But it is the first step towards changing your lifestyle and physique. I am so happy for her that I decided to quit my own gym and join hers so that we can go together when we want. It is always fun to have a workout buddy!

Here are some benefits to working out with a buddy:

1. You are held accountable.

2. Makes workouts fun.

3. You can talk about gossip during cardio. (duh!)

4. You can compete with one another.

5. You have a spotter. This increases safety!

6. Motivation.

7. Time goes by faster.

Honestly, I hope to keep her motivated and on track. I won’t be a drill sergeant, because obviously everyone’s fitness level varies over time.

On another note, I cannot wait to share my review of the Flipbelt.

FlipBelt_NeonGreen-625x417

Stay tuned for my in depth review of this awesome fitness product.

What are you up to this weekend?

Do you workout with a friend or family member?

Do you prefer a “fancy” gym or a gym with basic equipment?

Seahawks Game Day

Before I start rambling about the Seahawks, let’s recap on last night.

First off, it was eye lash time. Wooot!

003004

My lovely full lashes are back!! Yes, it’s an addiction, but I am okay with it. Football is another addiction….

Remember the Seahawks? That football team that went to the Superbowl last year and won…. Oh ya the Seahawks! Football season is upon us and of course pre-season is happening as we speak. The Seahawks played the San Diego Chargers last night.

Let’s recap on the evening. What game? SEAHAWKS V. CHARGERS

If you aren’t following me on  TwitterInstagram and Facebook, you should.

002 006 007

By half time, the score was 24 to 7.

Wilson came out after the first half and Pryor went in for the second half. The Chargers is unfotunately manage to score which up’d the score to 27-14. Of couse, the Hawks are still feeling good. As I am writing this, the Hawks scored. AWESOME!!

The game ended with a Seattle Seahawks win: 41 vs 14.

Do you watch NFL preseason?

Or the regular season?

What sport do you love to watch???

Representing the Home Team

Hello! Hello!
I’m patiently waiting for my flight back home to Seattle. I’m not a very patient person especially when your flight is delayed; however an adult beverage does help.

20140715-181711-65831855.jpg
According to my uncle, adult beverages are known as “daddy soda.” I like it. And according to my cousin it’s called, ” coocooo juice.” I’m having myself a daddy soda/coocooo juice before a find hour flight.
Any who, enough with that. In my lady post, I mentioned that my mom and I visited an NFL stadium on our way to New Jersey to stay with my aunt, uncle and their two children.

20140715-182200-66120201.jpg
Yes, of course we had to make a quick detour to see Gillette Stadium. Home of the Patriots! 🙂
Needless to say, we had to represent the Seahawks! Durr. What kind of fan do you think I am? The best kind!
However, we didn’t stop with just one stadium..nope! We ventured to MetLife Stadium a few days later.

20140715-182518-66318878.jpg

20140715-182519-66319252.jpg
I take my football seriously. It would be awesome to visit all of the NFL stadiums so I’ll add that to my bucketlist!!
Ok, it’s time to make my way to the terminal.
What NFL stadium are you dying to see?
Take care!

In Case You Haven’t Heard…We Are The Champions!

I am still pinching myself to make sure that what occurred on Sunday was real. Like wowowowowza!

seattle-seahawks-quarterback-russell-wilson-holds-up-the-vince-lombardi-trophy-after-the-seahawks

Superbowl 48 was seriously one of the best days of my life. Celebrating the Seahawks win with all of our friends was glorious. I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

098 021 026 033 031 029 058 060 097094

Sadly, the pictures got fuzzier as the night continued. 😉 But look at all those smiling faces!!

Seattle is holding a giant parade this Wednesday starting 11am. The parade will start on Fourth Avenue and Denny Way.  If you are in the area, come by and continue to celebrate the Seahawks first Superbowl win in franchise history!

Now, only 6.5 more months until the 2014-15 season begins!!!

Biggest Game of the Year

Five hours and 35 minutes until the biggest game of the year for Seahawks fans begins. How many people actually got some sleep last night?

Ughh, way too much excitement. 😀

Where will you be in 5 hours and 35 minutes? I wish I could have made the very expensive trip to the Superbowl.

My hairstylist was certain that she would get a text from me saying that I had to cancel my appointment, because I was on my way to the big game. Sadly no…I don’t make enough moola to afford that trip. However, the next time the Seahawks go, I WILL BE GOING. It is a once in a lifetime experience!

FX-MM54557-20140129-1_10s

Heck yes! I cannot tell you how many rally’s I’ve seen over the past week. Basically, amazing. The 12th man is loud n’ proud.

IKjiO_AuSt_39

Pretty darn cool. I’d love to apart of this one day. Schools all over Washington were getting together to form the 12.

Did you hear that the Superbowl ad’s this year nearly doubled in cost? Holy crap, seriously? They better be good!

Will you catch the Puppy Bowl? I’ve never seen it before, but all the pups look uber cute!

Here’s the line up if you want to make your picks ahead of time!

What do you look forward to the most on Superbowl Weekend?

Puppy Bowl or Super Bowl?

Seahawks or Broncos? You know what the answer is! 😉

GOOOOOO SEAHAWKS!

How Do I Love Thee?

Oh it’s Wednesday. Such a wonderful day, just a few more days until Friday and 4 days until the Super bowl!!!!

Super bowl Sunday cannot come soon enough. I may wear blue and green the rest of the week. Actually, I will do it. Seahawks baby!

Enough about this upcoming Sunday, let’s chat about last Sunday. I mentioned on Monday, that a friend and I hiked Rattlesnake ledge. We could not have picked a better day to hike! The weather was absolutely marvelous. I couldn’t believe the weather. It must have been 50-55 degrees…and remember it is January!!!!!

012The hike was packed beyond belief due to the fact that it was the weekend and the weather was remarkable, but we made the best of it.

011

Jealous much?

Did I mention that I over dressed? Holy moly, I was sweating.

013

Love seeing all the luscious trees.

010 016

What a view!

This view just makes me remember why I love the PNW! The nature, mountains, views, the smell, the crisp clean air and gorgeous hikes. I don’t think I could ever move out of the area.

PNW- I love you. I will never leave you! 🙂

When was the last time you hiked?

Do you like to hike? Or what is your favorite outdoor activity?

Do you live in the PNW?

What Does Your Snack Say About You?

Everyone has their favorite snack. Whether it is something sweet, salty, spicy, savory, crunchy or a combination. Personally, I prefer the combination of sweet and salty together. A dangerous combination. But, I also enjoy dips like hummus, guacamole or salsa.

Recipe-Rescue-Ravens-Rescue-Superbowl-Feast-630x419

Is this for real? That is impressive!

I came across this article when searching for Superbowl snack ideas. Superbowl is a time when most of us eat a little too much and have a little too much to drink. But hey, it happens once a year and you’re allowed to get wild n’ crazy.

Ok, back to the article. Have you ever wondered what your favorite snack says about you? Check it out!

Apparently, since I typically choose chips and dip that means I like things simple. That is on the money.

chips-and-dip

It is easy to put together and to clean up. I’m not into the whole lets cook n’ cook n’ cook for a party. I’m all about sticking to dips, chips, cheeses, veggies, popcorn, etc.  Yummies like that. You can make your snacks healthier by adding veggies or fruit and pairing it with ranch, peanut butter or hummus. Then you don’t have to completely ruin your diet.

For our Superbowl party to cheer on the Seahawks; we’ll be putting together a number of these kinds of snacks and having a taco bar. Then everyone can make their own taco combinations and bring sides that they enjoy. Again, easy yet effective.

d14f28265827af7bf2c3d5d6d420675e

Our Taco Bar will consist of:

Soft and hard tortillas- white and wheat

Ground Turkey

A variety of cheeses

Guacamole- and lots of it.

Salsa(s)

Lettuce

Tomatoes

Hot Sauce!

Beans

Tequila? Haha

Mini football shaped chocolate cookies for dessert!

And whatever else our friends want to bring n’ share! 😀

I CANNOT wait to start purchasing more Seahawks decorations!

e8f096caf00b96b9c94d1e64422a9d59

This is what I need.

If you were having a taco bar, what would you bring?

Are you hosting or going to a Superbowl party?
